Home Sweet Home: Bar Cart

I have been thinking of moving for a few months & in typical “Chantal Fashion” I have been thinking about decorating the areas in my home before figuring out where I will be moving! To be honest, I probably will not move until closer to the summer but I love picturing how my new place will unfold.

I have scoured the internet for all IKEA hacks & have found an amazing DIY bar cart by my friend Jacqueline. Seriously, it is beyond amazing & has been pinned on pintrest a million times. Check out the hack from Style Me Pretty here. I am probably going to forgo the acrylic bottom because I have seen a few variations that look great without it or the wheels. I am also going to spray paint it pink – this I have not yet shared with my bf but I am sure I can convince him to have a drink from this hot pink cart!

I am obsessed with gold, as I am sure you can tell! Both of the prints as well as the xoxo marquee are from etsy. I have already picked up the gold tray, wine rack and fox cocktail shaker from Target. I was going to get a gold C from Indigo but seeing these Tory Burch lucite letters have blown that plan straight out of the water! I love everything on this page, the skull shot glasses & the gold on the old school champagne glasses & lowball glasses make my heart flutter. The wine carafe is pretty typical, and I won’t even pretend that I know much about how they aerate wine! I am also in desperate need of some new wine glasses, this time I am going with a set of stemless glasses. The acrylic ice cube bucket clearly matched the C inital (see what I did there?!?!) & the bar tool set and coasters are too pretty to pass up.
