2014 Colour of the Year: Radiant Orchid

I guess I am a tad late on this post! Every year Pantone picks a colour of the year, last year was emerald. 2013 saw a surge of emerald and jewel tones so expect to see lots of orchid and dusty pinks and purples in 2014.

I am going to be celebrating the lovely orchid colour in my makeup palette slightly more than my closet. Benefit came out with a new cheek stain called lollitint and has quite a few products to make sure you are radiant in orchid. Their cheek stain is the best, so if you can only pick one orchid beauty product this should be it. I will be stockpiling on orchid lipstick, I adore the NARS matte lipstick; La Paz is a drool worthy & bold colour that will suit darker skin tones, plus I love & recommend the NARS formula.

My closet is calling out for the Balenciaga sunglasses. They are so pretty & I would literally see the world through rose coloured glasses! Of course, Jimmy Choo had to design the most perfect strappy heels in orchid – Carrie would be proud!
